Lilblip got a whole week of stars on his chores list, so CabbetteNZ cabbettenz splurged on him. He got a $20 set of Mega Bloks Rescue Tech - Major Altittude from the Warehouse. He is only meant to get a max of $10 a week - so he'll be good for weeks to come.... Yeah Right.
Apart from minor frustrations with the snaps coming undone - it is compatible with his Duplo - and he made a Helicopter, a ATV and a motorbike out of it all.
trying to find a song that has the lyric "lots and lots of firetrucks" youtube has an infomercial by that name, But I can't seem to find the sone again. Lilblip has been asking for it and singing it.
Bring back memories of the series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on TV in the late 80's, early 90s. Used to be late for my Evening Post delivery round because it was on at 15:30-16:00 or something, and I had to be 5 kms up the road at 16:00. No TV at home then so it was borrowed TV watching at friends progressively further up the road... :) -Dad.
Today we cut down the 'pom pom' tree out the front yard. @cabbette is allergic to it, and it's one less growing thing to weed round. Lilblip helped of course. In the picture here he is cutting a daisy with the saw.
No! It's a Rectangle Daddy. So lilblip has been watching 3 little pigs (2 minutes) and he kept asking for it to play again, so I put it on repeat and told him to press that [the spacebar] to stop it when he was done. He came out and it was still playing - so I said, press the space bar, stop it for now. He went away and stopped it...
He came back and said "It's not a Bar, It's a Rectangle, Daddy!"
Lilblip has been quite enamoured by the "fife lil piggies" and the "bad fox" story. I ad-libbed it last night for his bedtime story, and he came in this morning asking for the fox story. I figured the 'net was a good enough place to find the story (the only one I have in iTunes is the Three Little Pigs on the Cerial Killer album by Green Jelly). I typed 3 little pigs into google and after a few false stars (CG pigs in OZ?) I came across this gem.
Lilblip is loving it. He initially called the reindeer "lots of horses looking in the window" but soon corrected that. He's wandering round the house huffing and puffing now.
mangee has been up with lilblip for the weekend so has been quite busy but we got the rest of the two dead fruit trees cut up for fire wood so that is a help. lilblip and I had a good wander round the park with Bear (the dog) and came home with plenty of grass for the rabbits. We got across a small part of the river to the sand bank in the middle to look at what wood has been washed up, and floated some pieces down to watch them go through the swifter part, and on down the river. Lastly he had a go on all the swing, seesaw, lullaby things in the children’s play area. He was a bit slow walking home after a long walk but was content to play around for the rest of the day. The rain set in after grabbing the washing and the wood into shelter.
lilblip was up about 8-9 times, vomiting. This is the bedding pile after a night of it. I only managed to get up for one time, but was awoke for most of then. cabbettenz is a little tired this morning - and I feel unslept.
I was scrubbing the floor the other day, and Lliam had been paddling in the pool outside - he came in and was quite enamoured with the idea of cleaning the floor. the soap made it nice and slippery, and he seemed to want to clean himself as well as the floor.
Don't worry - it's just water and LOC, fine for babies -- and I did vacuum the floor first.. but hrm.
